Working Holiday Visas may be qualified for an extension of up to 12 months.
Working Holiday Visa holders whose journey was disrupted by the epidemic have one more chance to visit Canada.
Typically, the Working Holiday Visa is a one-time offer. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is providing an exemption because of the epidemic.
Working Holiday Visa holders whose letter of introduction (LOI) is due to expire and who are unable to travel may be able to renew their letter of introduction. According to the government website, the new guideline does not extend to other International Experience Canada (IEC) participants.
Furthermore, Working Holiday Visas are only available if the first Letter of Intent was issued between 1st January 2019 and 30th April 2020. It makes no difference if you have already secured an extension, but your existing LOI must expire before 21st December 2021. If your LOI has previously expired, you are still entitled to apply.
The interim policy is in effect until the 30th of July. Working Holiday Visa holders must seek an extension using IRCC’s webform by 31st December 2021, in order to take advantage of the extension.
